Our weavers

Every saree here was made by someone whose skill took years to build. We buy directly from weavers and their cooperatives where we can, and we pay for the piece, not the metre.

Some of the makers are happy to be named, and in time their work will carry their names. Others would rather not, and we respect that.

This page will grow as we photograph and write up more of them.
